Viking Immigration is a boutique Canadian immigration consulting firm located in Vancouver, BC, providing individualized representation in temporary residence, permanent residence and Canadian citizenship matters.
Canada’s immigration system is changing rapidly and is much more nuanced than you may think. Program requirements, eligibility rules and application volumes continue to shift, while refusal rates have increased across several major immigration categories. We at Viking Immigration are on top of all the changes in immigration policies and believe it is important to have a comprehensive immigration plan in place BEFORE submitting your first application to IRCC.
We also believe in taking a detailed and individual approach to every file and therefore applications are not prepared from a generic template. Each matter is assessed individually, potential weaknesses are identified before submission and the application is structured accordingly.
As for our clients, Viking Immigration represents Canadian immigration clients inside Canada and all over the world. We are the only immigration firm in the world providing services also in Estonian.

What is the story behind Viking Immigration?
A little over ten years ago, Eline Mets was where you are, after coming to Canada from Estonia under the IEC Working Holiday Program.
“While exploring my options for Permanent Residency, the first consultation with a lawyer ended up with them outlining all of the things that I do not qualify for and promising to send me a follow-up e-mail that never came,” says Eline Mets, founder of Viking Immigration Inc.
Another lawyer who she eventually ended up hiring was so busy they did not include a submission letter with her work permit extension application. This resulted in a refusal letter where Ms. Mets was instructed to leave Canada immediately, which she did.
At the same time she was researching and studying the IRPA, IRPR and regulations as much as she could to try to help herself, since she was not hearing back from the lawyer.
Eline Mets: “I felt so alone in this process and started thinking that if I was a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant..
What would I do differently?”
After returning to Canada and receiving her Permanent Residency, Eline Mets went back to school and received her Post-Graduate Diploma in Immigration: Laws, Policies and Procedures from The University of British Columbia (UBC).
She received her RCIC license in February 2019 and has been practicing ever since - making sure to make clients' peace of mind her company's priority. And this is how Viking Immigration was born.
We've got your back
Applying for any permit to immigrate to Canada can be very frustrating.
Especially the waits - and the decision can be a life-changing one.
We are with you every step of the way.
After all, the entire reason we got into this business is because we never want anybody to have such a stressful experience with immigrating to Canada as Eline Mets did.
Whether you’re an aspiring Canadian overseas, a temporary foreign worker already in Canada, an employer who wants to sponsor their employees or hire a foreigner - we will help you reach your immigration goals.
Do you want to save money by applying by yourself? Why hiring an experienced consultantis actually more cost-effective in the long run
The most common mistake we have seen people making over the years is not taking the process of Canadian Immigration seriously. This is mostly due to lack of information and knowledge regarding the various nuances of the application process.
And now, with the rise of AI, it is easy to believe that an application can be prepared using an AI tool or crowdsourced through a social media forum. However, many of these cases reach us only after problems have already arisen, including unintentional misrepresentation, inaccurate AI-generated information or other errors, making the matter more difficult and more costly to resolve.
At the end of the day, this is not just another application submitted online - it is your life, your plans and your ability to live, work and travel, and the outcome can affect you far beyond a single application.
A typical scenario we encounter from individual applicants - they use any means necessary to come to Canada (sometimes even knowingly or unknowingly committing misrepresentation to be eligible for a program), then they work at jobs or take school programs that will not help them extend their stay. After getting themselves in an even bigger pickle by following advice from internet forums, they finally find their way to us. This usually happens when their status has already expired or is about to expire. Helping them at this point is possible, but it is going to be more complicated and costly.
This is why we recommend getting a consultation with a licensed and regulated immigration consultant as soon as you have a plan on either coming to Canada or you are already here and decide to explore options to stay longer or want to make your stay permanent by becoming a Canadian Permanent Resident.
